Gerard Way shares 'Batman' statues inspired by never-released comic
Gerard Way is continuing his love for comics with the creation of these Batman and Joker statues. What’s even cooler? It’s taken from a comic Way developed that he never got to write.

According to CBR, these statues inspired by Way’s Kingdom Of The Mad, a Batman series that was approved by DC for release through Vertigo, but never came to fruition. See his tweet from 2013 about the comic below:

The statues are based on artwork by Way, and it’s making us hope that a Kingdom Of The Mad miniseries actually happens.

The Joker and Batman aren’t the only characters designed by Way, though. You can also count on seeing Robin, Two-Face, The Penguin, The Riddler and Mr. Freeze in the future, CBR reports.
The statues will be available in October for $80 each, and you know we’ll be picking up each design.
