Gerard Way, Grant Morrison to reveal collaboration at Sydney Opera House GRAPHIC event

Sydney Opera House tease “Gerard Way and Grant Morrison will reveal their biggest collaboration yet” at their annual GRAPHIC event celebrating animation, graphic storytelling and music.

The former My Chemical Romance frontman, Killjoys and Umbrella Academy author will join Invisibles-creator Grant Morrison for a conversation runnning approximately 75-minutes on October 5 at 9 p.m., according to the event details page. Tickets range $39 – $59 to the public.

Way and Morrison have often collaborated throughout the years, and Way has openly cited Morrison as an influence from his early career in comics.

In 2011, Way hosted “An Evening With Grant Morrison,” a guided conversation with Morrison, a concept similar to what the Opera House describes, for Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles.

Morrison appeared in MCR's Danger Days videos as Better Living Industries' head exterminator, Korse, and last September, Way was invited to perform–along with James Dewees (Reggie And The Full Effect, Death Spells)–at Grant's Morrisoncon.

GRAPHIC 2013 is also set to feature workshops, appearances by  Seth Green and Matt Senreich in Robot Chicken Live, a collaboration between Pulitzer Prize winner Art Spiegelman and jazz musician Phillip Johnston and a musical/mulitmedia performance by Dave McKean (illustrator of Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth and Sandman cover artist) and more.

Could this be what Way was teasing last week?
