'Ghostbusters' star Ernie Hudson to appear in upcoming reboot

It's been a while since the summer's deluge of info on the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, and things have mostly been quiet on the new film since. However, Ernie Hudson, who starred alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis in the original film, will appear in some capacity in the upcoming reboot, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Hudson, who has been quoted as saying that the all-female cast “would be a bad idea,” was allegedly seen on the film's set during the last day of shooting on Saturday. His capacity in the film and whether or not he's reprising his role as Winston Zeddemore is still unconfirmed.

Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 22, 2016.
