We’re likely not the only ones who have owned (or wanted to own) one of those super cool, glittery phone cases. However, MixBin brand cases are being recalled, due to the risk of skin irritation and burns caused by liquid and glitter leaking out of the cases, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

“MixBin electronics distributed liquid glitter iPhone cases for the iPhone 6, 6s and 7. These are being recalled because they can leak liquid and glitter and cause skin irritation and burns to consumers,” Patty Davis, a spokesperson for the CPSC told ABC.

The CPSC reports that a total of 24 people worldwide, including 19 in the U.S., have reported skin irritation or chemical burns from the cases, with one case reporting “permanent scarring” and another reporting “chemical burns and swelling to her leg, face, neck, chest, upper body and hands.”

In case you are wondering if your phone cases is affected, they report that the affected cases were sold by Amazon, Henri Bendel, MixBin, Nordstrom Rack, Tory Burch and Victoria's Secret from October 2015 to June 2017, the CPSC reports.

About 263,000 units have been affected, plus the 11,400 that were sold in Canada and 400 sold in Mexico. On the CPSC website, it says that affected cases will be refunded.

“If you do have these, we urge you to act quickly, get these out of your home, contact MixBin electronics. They will give you a full refund,” Davis tells ABC.
