“Actual Pain” is the first single off Generation Rx, Good Charlotte’s upcoming record, out September 14.

Generation Rx is Good Charlotte’s follow-up to 2016’s comeback album, Youth Authority, and will be released under a partnership between the Madden Brother’s MDDN label and BMG.

According to Joel and Benji Madden, Generation Rx channels the soul of the band’s first two albums. “This is the album we’ve been waiting 15 years to create,” they say.

“At the beginning of the year, we were reflecting a lot. We just played a memorial service in honor of Lil Peep. We were thinking of that,”  the twins share about the record. “Our generation was the first to have so many ways to deal with pain.”

“We wanted to bet back out there on the battlefield and spread insight, share experience, and give anything we could to improve lives,” they continued. “The message is you can get through the pain, survive it, and have the life you want.”

The band also recently announced European dates. The tour kicks off Feb. 1, 2019 in Zurich, Switzerland, and wraps up Feb. 20 in London, U.K.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 1. You can grab them here.
