Black Leaves of Envy, a local metal band from Cornwall, England were recently asked to stop rehearsing in their garage by their town council, for noise violations. Due to this notice, the band have been unable to practice for the last three months. The band reached out to Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl for help, and he has since taken it upon himself to assist the band in their endeavors. Today Grohl published a letter he personally sent to the Cornwall town council on behalf of the band, urging them to reconsider these noise limitations in defense of the arts. Along with this letter, Grohl has also published a guide to DIY soundproofing and sound treatment, available here. You can check out his letter below.
