The new 'Goosebumps' movie to feature classic, "notorious villain"

The new Goosebumps flick is bound to bring back all those childhood nightmares, featuring a classic character that still gives us chills.

The haunting stories in R.L. Stine's children series are coming back to the big screen once again for Goosebumps 2, as Backstage reports. The sequel to the 2015 flick is based once again on Stine's horror stories, and the new film will feature one of the series' most terrifying villains: That's right, Slappy, the evil ventriloquist’s dummy.

The entertainment source says that the dummy is “hell-bent on jump-starting the Halloween apocalypse,” and the “three friends must stop the stuffed adversary before he ruins Halloween for good.”

Jack Black is set to reprise his role as R.L. Stine, and really, we're just ready to relive those spine-tingling moments we oh-so appreciated as children, all thanks to Stine's tales. Give the trailer for the first film a watch below:
