Day 3 of the ninth annual Governors Ball has been delayed due to the threat of severe weather, pushing the festival’s doors back to 6:30 p.m. EST.

The threat of severe thunderstorms caused Governors Ball to ask fans not to come to Randall’s Island Park until they posted an update.

“We are actively monitoring today’s weather forecast. Please stay tuned. An update on the status of the show will be posted on govball.com/updates no later than 11:30 a.m. EST today. Until we have posted an update, please do not come to Randall’s Island Park for the festival. -Team Gov Ball.”

The festival later provided an update stating doors would open at 6:30 p.m. EST with an updated schedule to be released shortly.

“Update on Sunday gates. Gates for today’s show have been delayed until 6:30 p.m. due to forecasted thunderstorms. An updated performance schedule will be released shortly. Please stay tuned to goveball.com/updates and socials for the latest news and updates.”

You can see the updated schedule for today’s performances, below. Along with a statement from the Gov Ball website.

“Today’s performance schedule has been adjusted due to thunderstorms forecast to arrive in the early evening. As a result, some of the artists scheduled for earlier in the day are no longer able to perform. Please see the updated Sunday performance schedule below, and stay tuned to our socials and this page for any additional developments. Gates will open today at 6:30PM, and music will begin at 6:45PM. We look forward to seeing you there.
