Governor's Ball, CounterPoint, Hangout festivals announce summer lineups
It's shaping up to be another impressive festival season! In addition to previous lineup announcements from Coachella (Indio, Calif.), Firefly Music Festival (Dover, Del.), and, of course, the quintessential traveling summer fest, the Vans Warped Tour, three more major music festivals have unveiled their lineups: The Governor's Ball in New York, Hangout Music Fest in Gulf Shores, Ala., and CounterPoint Festival in Kingston Downs, Ga.
Governor's Ball, which takes place at Randall's Island in New York City from June 6-8, will go on sale this afternoon at 3 p.m. EST on the fest's site, with passes starting at $230. This year's impressive lineup includes Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, OutKast, Jack White, Frank Turner, Childish Gambino, The 1975, Phoenix, Sleigh Bells, Interpol, Damon Albarn, Grimes, Chance The Rapper, Run The Jewels, Skaters, Diarrhea Planet, and many more!
Hangout Fest, hosted May 16-18 on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Ala., will go on sale tomorrow, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. EST right here. Passes start at $229, and the lineup includes The Killers, OutKast, The Black Keys, Queens Of The Stone Age, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips, Zedd, Childish Gambino, Conor Oberst, Tegan And Sara, Portugal. The Man, The 1975, Andrew W.K., Diarrhea Planet, RDGLDGRN, and more!
CounterPoint, which moves this year to Atlanta-adjacent Kingston Downs, Ga., will run April 25-27, with tickets on sale sale now though CounterPoint's site, and starting at just $180. The hip hop and EDM heavy bill features OutKast, Matt And Kim, Sleigh Bells, Five Knives, Run The Jewels, Major Lazer, and Chance The Rapper, among others.
