We've received word that Kent Abbott, former guitarist/vocalist for Victory Records band Somehow Hollow passed away on Jan. 7 from undisclosed causes. He was 32. Abbott got his start playing guitar for Canadian post-hardcore stalwarts Grade, joining the band following the release of their final full-length, 2001's Headfirst Straight To Hell. Following that band's demise, he committed to Somehow Hollow full-time, releasing their Victory Records debut, Busted Wings And Rusted Halos, in 2003. Somehow Hollow disbanded in 2004; more recently, Abbott could be found playing bass with the .45 Goodbye.
