grandson kicks off political activism campaign with K.Flay collab “Peaches”

As the first part of his XXwhy acoustic campaign, grandson is collabing with K.Flay for a new track called “Peaches.”

For every month leading up to the 2020 U.S. presidential election, grandson is releasing an acoustic collaboration on top of a podcast.

The new XXwhy campaign is intending to create a conversation between creative types working in both music and activism.

The podcast, hosted by grandson himself and record at idobi Radio, is featuring acoustic performances of the collab tracks plus discussions between the artists and others involved in activism.

The first episode is premiering on March 1 at 6 P.M. PST with an official music video for the track expected in the coming weeks.

You can check out the studio version of the song below.

On top of the podcast and series of new tracks, grandson is partnering with Headcount and Gibson Guitars focusing on voter registration for the election.

Every track is including “Text Voter XX to 40649” at the end of the title. Fans texting the number will receive updates about voter registration in their area and can join the “me +3” initiative to get friends out to vote too. The Gibson connection comes in the way of participants getting the chance to win a signed guitar by grandson and the collab artist featured in that month’s track.

In just a couple of weeks, grandson will be heading on a Canadian headline tour before heading to Europe supporting A Day To Remember. Following that, he’ll be hitting up a number of music festivals throughout the summer. You can see his tour dates below.
