grandson reflected on the upcoming tour with a Twitter announcement:

“AMERICA. The first chapter of the resistance is closing. This is the end of the beginning. Since the very first song came out in September 2016 we have been dreaming of what it would feel like to play bigger spaces. Tell bigger stories. Use a larger visual component to the shows

“to add more commentary to what being a grandkid is all about. Now, 3 years later, at rock bottom, we are ready to take that step. @nothingnowhere will be joining us. @RamonBlancoGuit @bravvomusic @DavidRehmann will be bringing the rock n’ roll like always. Biggest tour yet.

In addition to the new tour announcement, grandson also surprise dropped his no apologies live EP, which features recordings from his previous U.S. tour.

“BY THE WAY // WE FUCKED AROUND AND RECORDED A COUPLE SHOWS FROM THE NO APOLOGIES TOUR AND COMPILED A LIVE EP TO GIVE YOU A TASTE OF WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THE END OF THE BEGINNING. BLAST THIS SHIT FOR A TASTE OF THE RESISTANCE.”
