Grayscale share new video featuring former drummer’s removal

Over the weekend, Grayscale took to social media to announce the departure of their drummer Nick Veno. However, it looks like the move may not have been as serious as what was first thought.

The band shared a new clip where Veno is heading to band practice when he’s told he is out of the band. The drummer throws his phone in frustration, nailing a bystander and getting into an altercation.

Fans immediately responded with both disbelief and stating they knew it was a prank all along.

It’s unclear what the video is for, but this post will be updated as developments arise.

Grayscale and Nick Veno’s initial statements

Both the band and Veno have released statements regarding the announcement Saturday evening, which you can read below.

At the time, Grayscale revealed that they would be parting ways with Nick Veno, rolling out a new promo photo that no longer included the drummer.

Their statement revealed that more details regarding the matter would come on Monday.

“There have been some changes behind the scenes in our band,” Grayscale writes. “Due to some creative differences, this is the new Grayscale. The current tour we’re on will continue as planned, with Nick finishing out the remaining shows with us. More details to come on Monday.”

Shortly after, Veno made a statement of his own.

“I’ll keep this as brief as I can. I am no longer in Grayscale. “Creative differences” is one way to put it, but after being in a band with those guys for years, I have come to learn how self-centered they all really are. I will be finishing the current tour with them, and that’s it. Please understand that I am not interested in providing more information at this time. Thank you for everything.”
