Green Day have been rehearsing their classic albums in full over the past couple of weeks, and we can’t help but wonder what on earth is going on?!

It all started a few weeks ago when drummer Tre Cool posted a picture of Dookie’s tracklist with the caption, “fun band practice – swipe to see the set list we played today.”

With album anniversaries not an uncommon thing in today’s scene, we were sure that the band was planning a 25 year album anniversary for the beloved punk album, but then the band threw us for a loop when they posted another photo.

Then, a week after the initial post, bassist Mike Dirnt followed in Cool’s footsteps and posted a picture of that day’s setlist. The list of that day? The band’s 1995 classic Insomniac.

Fast forward to yesterday (Aug. 23), the band played yet another classic album and we’re beyond curious what this could all mean.

Taking to Instagram, Cool posted a picture in the same fashion as the past two posts, where he asked fans to swipe to see the setlist the band played. There, it was revealed that they’ve rehearsed their 1991 classic, Kerplunk!

So what could all of this mean?! We’re not really sure.

Before this new revelation, fans have speculated that they could be practicing to do a back-to-back full-album tour, but with Kerplunk turning 27 this year, it doesn’t fit the mold of an anniversary tour like we’ve recently speculated.

While we’re not entirely sure the answer, we do know that frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is the only member to not post a cryptic photo. We can only hope when the frontman does post a photo, we’ll officially get some answers as to what the band is teasing.
