Green Day's 'American Idiot' musical to tour the UK

It looks like the musical adaptation of one of Green Day's biggest album is coming back, and this time it will exclusively be shown in various parts of the U.K. That's right: American Idiot The Musical is coming back.

Per a report from NME, Green Day's American Idiot The Musical will be hitting the road in 2019 to do a U.K. tour in order to celebrate what will not only the 15-year anniversary of the band's album, but the 10-year anniversary of the award-winning rock musical as well. 

The musical, which debuted in 2009, follows three young men—Johnny, Tunny and Will—who are searching for their meaning in life. Discouraged with where they are, two of the men move out of their small town trying to find a start in the big city while the other stays to work on his relationship. What follows is the trials the three men go through trying to find themselves. 

While it features the entirity of American Idiot, it also features some of Green Day's bigger hits from their albums Dookie and 21st Century Breakdown. This touring U.K. production of Green Day's American Idiot The Musical is set to be directed and choreogapher by Racky Plews with casting yet to be announced.
