For New Year's Eve, Armstrong held court at New York club Berlin, laying down some impromptu grooves with a sick pick-up band of rock all-stars that included the Replacements' Tommy Stinson, the Hold Steady's Tad Kubler, Blondie's Clem Burke, the E Street Band's Steven Van Zandt, Jesse Malin, and, reportedly, even the Green Day frontman's own sons.

Happy New Year!
