Green Day change "Holiday" lyrics; bash Donald Trump, "all politicians"—watch
Green Day bashed Donald Trump with a lyric-change to their American Idiot song “Holiday” during a show Wednesday night in Sayreville, New Jersey. (Watch footage below.)
During the track’s bridge, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong asked the crowd, “Have you been watching the news lately? What do you think of our candidates for the presidency of the United States Of America? What do you think of New York’s finest, Donald Trump?”

He continued. “No racism in this fucking room. There is no white supremacy in this fucking room right now. We are coming together tonight in New Jersey to call bullshit on all the fucking politicians!”
As Green Day progressed the song through its bridge section, Armstrong replaced “pulverize the Eiffel Towers” with “pulverize the Don Trump Towers.” Billboard reports that he also put New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on blast by referring to him as the “enemy” during their performance of the 21st Century Breakdown single, “Know Your Enemy.”
