Green Day enter studio to record new album

Green Day has entered the studio today to begin work on a new album. Check out a tweet from frontman Billie Joe Armstrong below:

Happy Valantine's day! Officially started recording the new record today. It's FUCK TIME!!!!

The final sentence of the tweet is a reference to “It's Fuck Time,” a song originally intended for Green Day's 60s-influenced rock side project Foxboro Hot Tubs, though the song has been performed at recent Green Day shows as well.
