More on GWAR

The legendary space alien thrash band are working on a new album following some tours they wrapped up last year.

Guitarist Pustulus Maximus shared that the band have a bunch of songs they’re working on and were buckling down to write starting this year.

“We have a fuck-ton of songs in the bank, so I’d have to say as soon as we get back from this tour, it’s time to start writing,” the guitarist says. “Then again, who am I? Who am I to say? I’m just a lowly, lead, handsome guitar player in the band.”

The forthcoming album will be a follow-up to the band’s 2017 release, The Blood Of Gods, which was the band’s 14th album.

Just a few months ago, the band’s bassist Jamison Land, otherwise known as Beefcake The Mighty, announced his departure.

The bassist took to Facebook to thank fans for their support over his time with the band.

“I’ve parted ways with GWAR,” he writes. “I’m back in KY to spend more time with family and to focus on my driving career. Thank you to all my awesome fans and friends for the past 8 years of support.”

According to his Facebook profile, he is working as both a school bus driver and tour bus driver.
