Speculation that actor and musician Jack Black had died was the work of a hacker who posted messages on Tenacious D’s official Twitter account.
After the hacker posted on the band’s page claiming Black had died at the age of 46, Tenacious D put the rumor to rest with a Tweet calling the incident a “sick 'prank.'”
WE had our Twitter account hacked. We can assure you that Jack is ALIVE and WELL and that this was a sick “prank”.

This is not the first time Black has been the victim of an online hoax, according to BBC. In 2012, one claimed he had fallen off a cliff in New Zealand, while another in 2014 alleged he had died after a stroke.
Tenacious D weren't the only victims of hacking this weekend. Members of Twenty One Pilots, Bring Me The Horizon and Pierce The Veil also had their accounts hacked.
