Paramore's Zac Farro premieres retro video for side project HalfNoise

Paramore's founding drummer Zac Farro has been working on his solo project HalfNoise since 2010, and its retro sound is really making waves. HalfNoise just dropped a music video for “Scooby's In The Back” from the EP, The Velvet Face EP. Check it out below!

The music video for “Scooby's In The Back,” which premiered at Noisey, features footage of surfers in New Zealand filmed in the '70s. Farro tells Noisey, “The entire The Velvet Face EP to me was intended to feel like those older records like Pet Sounds and Rubber Soul, so I wanted the video to match that. That Beach Boys-y, trippy feel was exactly what I was going for. I came across this amazing footage of New Zealand in the '70s, all shot on 16mm film, and I couldn't see the video being anything besides that footage. I felt like I found gold.”

If you're desperately waiting for new music from HalfNoise, don't worry. Farro assured listeners that new material is in the works, saying “I cannot wait for people to hear it. I feel like it all just keeps getting better and more fun!”
