2021 has already been a big year for Halsey. Last month, she announced to the world that she is pregnant and expecting a child with her boyfriend Alev Aydin. Shortly after, she revealed whether or not her pregnancy has anything to do with the cancelation of her postponed Manic North American tour.

As well, she kicked off the new year by launching her new makeup brand about-face which fans had been speculating about for weeks. Halsey exclusively told Byrdie that about-face is a nod to the scene queen days of the past. For her, the makeup brand is a community that welcomes outcasts and rebels like the ones she saw throughout her teenage days. Ultimately, this makeup line is a true nod to all of the Myspace-era emos out there.

“I feel like I never really see makeup anymore that’s about being fucked up and dirty and grungy and just wrong, and so much makeup used to be about that,” she said. “I’m just paying homage to the style of makeup and the makeup influences that I’ve always loved: very ’90s-heavy, very Myspace scene queen, very emo revival.”

Now, Halsey is channeling her inner Regina George for about-face’s new Anti-VDay line. On Feb. 9, she officially launched the new holiday collection with a Mean Girls-inspired video that is “so fetch.” The colorful visual takes us all back to 2004 as Halsey recreates the iconic phone call scene from the cult classic with Natalie Mariduena, Quenlin Blackwell and Rico Nasty. As well, the video even includes a special surprise for all of you Superbad fans out there.

The Anti-VDay makeup line features four exclusive about-face products. The Anti-Vday Paint-It Matte Lip Color in Matte Cherry Red ($22), the Anti-Vday Matte Fix Lip Pencil in Matte Cherry Red ($17), the Limited Edition Cosmetic Bag ($17) and the Shadowstick in Matte Black ($21) are all available in the new line. You can shop the entire collection here.
