Halsey rocks iHeartRadio stage with YUNGBLUD, Travis Barker

Halsey opened the iHeartRadio Music Awards Thursday night with a performance of “11 Minutes” with YUNGBLUD and Travis Barker that we will never forget.

Before she was joined by her co-collaborators, she started the night off with her hit “Without Me,” which she sang while on top of an overturned car.

Then, the artist went into “11 Minutes” live. She ditched a huge coat for a very punk-rock leather dress that we were living for.

After, YUNGBLUD dramatically jumped on stage to play guitar while Barker hit the drums. We are so jealous we weren’t there to see this incredible performance.

Halsey was nominated for female artist of the year, best lyrics for “Without Me” and best cover song “Lucid Dreams.” She did not win, but was later awarded the L’Oreal Fangirls Award.

In her acceptance speech, she took some time to defend fangirls everywhere.

“I think that the word ‘fan girl’ for a long time has been used in a very derogatory sense,” she says. “I think if a young woman likes something, then in the eyes of the rest of the world that makes it stupid or it makes it unimportant or invalid.”

“But as a former fan girl and as a person who is lucky enough to have fans of their own, I know that it is very much the opposite actually,” she continued. You can listen to her entire speech below.
