Halsey is postponing her ‘Manic’ North American tour until 2021
Back in September 2019, Halsey began to announce dates for her Manic world tour. After completing the European and U.K. dates back in February and March, Halsey was going to hit the road this summer for her North American run. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, plans have changed.
On Thursday, Halsey announced on social media that all of her summer Manic tour dates have been rescheduled for 2021.

Halsey’s North American tour was scheduled to kick off this summer on June 2 in Seattle. Back in March, during her European tour, Halsey shared that she planned to take a break from touring at the end of 2020.
“I think 2020 will mark the end of me touring for a very long time,” she says. “Thank you for making the memories so special. I am cherishing every single night.”
Now, it appears that plans have changed. Over the past few weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has caused the cancelation of various events and tours worldwide. Now, the Manic tour has been directly impacted by the pandemic.
Halsey took to social media to announce that her North American tour dates have all been rescheduled for 2021.
“As I’m sure many of you predicted, we are unfortunately going to have to reschedule the upcoming 2020 summer tour,” Halsey says. “There’s nothing more important to me than the safety and health of my fans. We’re excited to announce summer 2021 dates with the same venues.”

Halsey goes on to share that all of the tickets purchased for the Manic tour already will be honored next year. For those wishing for a refund or more information regarding their tickets, they need to reach out to their ticket providers.
“If you have a ticket, it will be 100% valid for the rescheduled tour dates,” Halsey shares. “However, for those who are looking for refunds, you can find them at point of purchase, subject to their terms.”
Ticketmaster is currently making headlines for their refund policies on rescheduled shows. The ticketing company and its partner Live Nation are also facing a number of lawsuits over the refund policies set in place.
Despite this, Halsey is reassuring fans that the Manic tour in North America will happen next year.
“Thank you for understanding,” Halsey says. “Touring is my favorite thing in the world and I can’t wait to see you again soon.”
CHVRCHES, Omar Apollo, blackbear, and PVRIS were the opening acts scheduled to perform on this year’s North American Manic tour. No information on if the lineup will be returning for the rescheduled 2021 dates has been released yet.
Meanwhile, Halsey has been finding a number of ways to stay busy while in quarantine. Last month, she shared a Spotify playlist featuring the music she has been listening to while social distancing. The playlist includes tracks from YUNGBLUD, 5 Seconds of Summer, The 1975 and more.
On May 1, she released the self-empowering track “Be Kind” with Marshmello. She even took part in the coronavirus pandemic efforts and tracked down 100,000 masks for front-line workers.
