Halsey to return to 'SNL' for a double-duty takeover

Can’t get enough Halsey? Fear not, fellow H fans, for we’re set to get a double dose of the “Without Me” singer on Saturday Night Live next month! That’s right, Halsey will both host and perform on the Feb. 9 episode of the TV show.

She’ll be taking the famed stage at 30 Rockefeller Plaza for the first time in a year, back when the singer first served as musical guest on the NBC show. It was January 2018, and she belted out versions of hits “Bad At Love” and “Him & I.”

This time, however, we presume we may get an equally unapologetic version of the latest Halsey jam, the forenamed “Without Me,” the triumphant one-off single that got a juiced-up makeover from Juice WRLD. (Much to Halsey’s joy.)

Halsey definitely seems excited about the development. “Feb 9,” she shares on Twitter, followed by the all-caps exclamation of, “HOSTING & PERFORMING ON @nbcsnl ITS SATURDAY FUCKING NIGHT BABY.” Yes, we’re very excited too!

And while it’s probably too much to ask that Halsey bust out an old-school emo cover to solidify her support for the scene on a national stage (we’re dreaming), we’re sure the upcoming TV spot from the singer will be endlessly entertaining.

Below, watch Halsey perform “Bad At Love” on last year’s SNL:

New York mag’s Vulture notes that the “last person to do double duty as host/musical guest was Donald Glover, who also performed as Childish Gambino.” Back before that entertainer revealed his This Is America Tour would be his last.

What do you think? Are you stoked to see Halsey take the reins for the upcoming Saturday Night Live episode? Sound off down in the comments section. And let us know if you’ll be tuning in for the “Without Me” hitmaker’s second SNL turn!
