Pottermore Publishing announced Harry Potter: A Journey Through…, which will be a series of four e-books. As if that’s not exciting enough, two of them are hitting the digital world June 27.
The four stories are inspired by the British Library exhibition and adapted from its 2017 companion book of the same name titled Harry Potter: A History of Magic. The book was later released as an audiobook in 2018 and read by actress Natalie Dormer (Game Of Thrones, The Hunger Games series).
The four books arriving include Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures.
Each book is themed around a specific Hogwarts lesson including charms and defense against the dark arts, herbology, divination and astronomy and the care of magical creatures. They will also explore the roots of the traditional folklore and magic that are found within the wizarding world.
Each story is accompanied by line drawings from London-based artist Rohan Daniel Eason. They’ll also include notes, manuscript pages and sketches previously seen in Harry Potter: A History of Magic.
Pottermore Publishing stated all four e-books will be available this summer in English, French, Italian and German. According to Amazon, Charms And Defence Against The Dark Arts and Potions And Herbology will be released June 27. Divination And Astronomy will drop July 25. Currently, there isn’t a release date posted for Care of Magical Creatures.
