‘Harry Potter’ stars ponder how they’d fit into a wizarding world reboot in 2019

Harry Potter fans might just get to see some familiar faces from the original movies return to the Wizarding World in the future.

Rupert Grint and Tom Felton, who played Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy respectively in the original movies, spoke about some sort of reboot.

It all went down when the new Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ride opened at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando.

Many cast members reunited for the opening, including Frint and Felton who spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the possibility of being involved in a future Harry Potter project.

EW first asked if they’d be up to playing their chatacters’ fathers in the future, which they were both very into. Felton said he’d dow it “absolutely” and joked that he’d even do it for free. He also said he’d love to “rock the black suit once in awhile,” referring to Lucius Malfoy’s iconic look.

“I’d be up for that … it’d be a nice kind of bit of closure,” Grint said.

They were also asked if they’d appear as their original characters in a screen version of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, which follows Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco as parents while their kids are at Hogwarts.

“I feel…not possessive over Draco, but definitely like he’s a part of me somehow,” Felton said, agreeing he’d be willing to do it.

So now we’ll just have to wait and see if we’ll ever see these two magical troublemakers back casting spells in their cloaks again.

Speaking of the Hagrid ride, you can see some photos from the opening and tour the ride below.

Other Harry Potter news

The wait for Vans to drop their Harry Potter collaboration is finally over after much teasing from the company.

Last month, we got our first look at the highly anticipated collection while Journeys gave us hope they would arrive sooner than later.

The moment has finally arrived with the full collection being available online and in stores.

This moment comes after the release date was shared with subscribed customers via email with details about the designs. The collection was also leaked online with glimpses of the new colorways hitting social media over the past few weeks.

The new collection includes a ton of different items based on the Harry Potter Hogwarts Houses. Along with a signature design for each of the four Hogwarts houses, other story-inspired setups are available, including a Marauder’s Map slip-on, a Golden Snitch Old Skool and a Vans Era inspired by the Daily Prophet newspaper.

Included in the collection are a whole bunch of different styles of shoes and other footwear, backpacks, sweaters, t-shirts and more. If you can’t wait to go to a store to see the items for yourself, take a look here where they’re available online.

This is only the latest of many collabs Vans has concocted over the years. Luckily, we identified the 10 you can’t miss. Check them out here. While many think of Vans as the go-to brand for scenesters, there’s a lot more going on at the company.
