Harry Styles channels Kurt Cobain, perfectly performs classic Nirvana track

Harry Styles showed off his best Kurt Cobain impression while covering a classic Nirvana track.

While in Tokyo, Styles joined a band to cover the anthem “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” He wasn’t performing an official show, but proved that he can sing grunge music just as well as he sings pop.

Better yet, Styles performed the song in 2019 novelty glasses. It’s unlikely that the cover will appear on Styles’ next solo album, but we’re really living for the former boy band member’s stellar performance.

Dare we say iconic?

Unsurprisingly, fans of the pop star freaked out on Twitter when they saw the unconventional performance. Check out what they had to say about the video clip below!

Speaking of Styles’ next album, Matty Healy of the 1975 revealed recently that he wants to produce it. However, he apparently is missing one major thing—the support of Styles himself. Healy believes his account is definitely blocked from Styles’ Twitter and begged Twitter for his new number.

Healy apparently tried to collab with Styles when he was in One Direction, but they weren’t interested. Even though this collab seems to be going nowhere, we can only hope for the best.
