Hawthorne Heights add 'The Silence In Black And White' 15-year dates

From Taking Back Sunday’s Where You Want to Be to My Chemical Romance’s Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge2004 was a milestone for an abundance of alternative rock bands. The single “Ohio Is for Lovers” from their first full-length album The Silence In Black and White put Hawthorne Heights on the map and became an instant emo anthem, so it only makes sense the band wants to celebrate it’s birth, again.

Hawthorne Heights announced today that they will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of The Silence In Black and White again this coming January.

Hawthorne Heights recruited Emery again for this third leg consisting of 10 shows. Bad Luck. and Vagrants will be joining the bands for the full run.

They played the album in full on previous runs in June with Emery and again in August with Oh, Sleeper added. The June tour included a stop on the 25th Anniversary Warped Tour for the Cleveland show.

VIP packages for the The Silence In Black and White 15th anniversary will be available for purchase Nov. 13. General admission tickets will go on sale this Friday. Check out the list of new dates below.

The band released a compilation album, Lost Frequencies, on Nov.8. The album consists of new tracks, acoustics and covers.

The albums single, “Hard To Breathe”, dropped last month. It deals with growing up in a broken home and the comfort one can find with the right friends.

“I grew up in a home built on a fractured marriage, alcoholism, and a mother who loved us, but just didn’t know how to articulate it into words.  We packed up all of our things and left my father behind in the winter of 1989, and never looked back. I didn’t see him again, until he was in a coffin,” Woodruff said of the personal track.  “Hard To Breathe is the story of my youth from 1988-1992. I spent a lot of time with quiet resentment, until I found my circle of friends, and felt outside love for the first time. While the story has some dark twists and turns, it’s really just an articulation of some of the coldest nights of my life.”
