Listen to Hayley Williams’ new upbeat pop anthem “Over Yet”

Hayley Williams has been doing an amazing job with her solo work branching out from her Paramore days and she’s back with another single for fans to feast upon.

The new song, “Over Yet,” was written with Paramore bassist Joey Howard and producer Steph Marziano last summer according to her post revealing the track.

Williams has been busy working away at revealing songs off of her upcoming solo debut, Petals For Armor.

Williams shared the first track, “Simmer” off of upcoming record in January. The vocalist followed it up with “Leave It Alone” and “Cinnamon,” all of which continued to build upon a connected plot. The three tracks appeared on an EP, PETALS FOR ARMOR I, which is available here now.

Following that, she ended up dropping her highly-hyped boygenius collaboration “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris.”

Now, she’s back with another new song which she’s describing as having “went from industrial/punk beat to Janet chorus REAL quick.”

Williams shared a message about the new track while Howard and Marziano also shared their thoughts on contributing to “Over Yet.”

At one point we were supposed to record the vocals for the 3rd chorus but got so excited that we all just screamed instead. (probably scaring poor Alf). Like the rest of the world, I’m struggling with isolation. But, right now ‘Over Yet’ has never felt more relevant. I hope this song brings you as much joy listening to it as we had making it. Last week, Hayley Williams also gave fans the heads up that she would likely be rescheduling her first-ever solo tour.

The update comes in response to numerous performers and festivals rescheduling or canceling their dates altogether in wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
