This weekend’s U.S. general election results have not only impacted American citizens but also world leaders and individuals worldwide. For FEVER 333, they had so many thoughts about the election results that they wrote a new song.

FEVER 333 have been cranking out a lot of new music this fall. Back in October, they unleashed their new EP WRONG GENERATION and held their first-ever digital global tour. Frontman Jason Aalon Butler previously shared that WRONG GENERATION was inspired by the ongoing protests and unrest in the United States.

“This project is art as activism first,” he said. “I’m talking about what’s happening and what needs to happen. I hope you understand there’s going to be pain in progress. After dismantling and deconstructing all of these things, we can find a beautiful place to be together. For me, this whole EP is that 13 days after 34 years. You fucked with the WRONG GENERATION.”

Now, FEVER 333 are finding even more inspiration in today’s headlines. On Tuesday, they surprise-released their new song “Once Again” which they wrote and recorded 24 hours after the U.S. election results were announced.

However, there’s only one way fans are able to hear the entire song. All listeners have to do is text “ONCEAGAIN” to 81787 to gain access to the full track. The text also signs individuals up for FEVER 333’s mailing list.

FEVER 333 further teased the surprise release with a 19-second clip of “Once Again.” In the snippet, listeners can hear Butler sing “it’s all coming down, listen up motherfucker” with heavy percussion and guitars blaring in the background.

Back in October, Butler revealed his feelings about the then-upcoming U.S. election to Alternative Press.

“If we can’t look at the betterment of the country in this election, I am going to say this,” he said. “I’ll go on record saying that we will see one of the darkest times in American history. I do believe that. And I want everyone reading this to please note that I didn’t say nobody’s name. I didn’t say one candidate or the other. If you really want to break it down, the most American shit you can really observe is that all of us didn’t fucking come from here. And the people that came from here got destroyed.”

“Once Again” follows up FEVER 333’s recent cover of Linkin Park‘s “In The End.” The band teamed up with grandson for the two-song Spotify Single in celebration of the Hybrid Theory anniversary.
