Heavy metal music can promote scientific thinking, says professor

The Canadian psychology professor says that heavy metal music can promote scientific thinking between students. By using crimes in which heavy metal has been involved, students are challenged to discuss how music can influence behavior and how that can be used as evidence. Schmaltz quotes acts like Judas Priest and Slayer.

Schmaltz’s paper, Bang Your Head: Using Heavy Metal Music to Promote Scientific Thinking in the Classroom, also points out the lack of scientific evidence in the case against heavy metal music.
