Without a doubt, 2020 has been one of the most successful years for Machine Gun Kelly. Back in September, he dropped his No.1 album Tickets To My Downfall which features collabs with Travis Barker, Halsey and blackbear among others. As well, MGK made an appearance in the Netflix original film Project Power with Jamie Foxx. Machine Gun Kelly even traveled to Montana this year to film an upcoming Western movie.

So, it’s really no surprise Machine Gun Kelly wants to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a massive performance. The rapper turned pop-punk chart-topper will be performing in NYC’s Times Square for the annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest

Although it’s unknown what Tickets To My Downfall track he may be performing, Machine Gun Kelly will be joined by plenty of other familiar faces. For the annual New Year’s Eve event, Miley Cyrus is also performing. Viewers will likely see her play a song from her new rock-inspired album Plastic Hearts which features collabs with Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett and more.

However, MGK and Cyrus aren’t the only performers helping us ring in the New Year. The legendary Cyndi Lauper, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat and Nelly are also performing for the celebratory event.

As well, Seacrest will be joined by Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale and Billy Porter to host the event. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event will be closed to the public this year. However, Rockin’ Eve kicks off at 8 P.M. ET on ABC on Thursday, Dec. 31.

“2020 has been a trying year for the world and I’m thrilled to have Billy and Lucy join me in ushering in a new year with fresh beginnings,” Seacrest said in a news release. “We look forward to making sure it’s a night for everyone to remember.”

Machine Gun Kelly caught the internet’s attention for a few surprising reasons this month. MGK seemingly addressed Eminem’s new diss tracks that appear on his new album Music To Be Murdered By – Side B. As well, MGK had a few controversial things to say about musicians’ footwear in rock music.

2021 is already set to be a big year for Machine Gun Kelly. Earlier this year, we learned that his highly-anticipated Tickets To My Downfall musical Downfalls High arrives in January 2021. The film was co-directed by MOD SUN and features Travis Barker and Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney.

Additionally, it looks like making another album is in MGK’s plans for next year. He previously revealed that he hopes to drop a Tickets To My Downfall follow up in 2021. Shortly following the release of his last album, Machine Gun Kelly was already back in the studio with Travis Barker.
