Hollywood Vampires cover David Bowie’s “Heroes” in new video

It’s been a very long wait for supergroup the Hollywood Vampires‘ sophomore record, but we’re getting an early glimpse at what’s in store through a new cover song.

The band released their take on David Bowie‘s classic track “Heroes” through a new black and white video.

The band features Johnny DeppAlice Cooper and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry. They’ve previously featured a wide array of stars as album and live performance cameos, such as Marilyn MansonPaul McCartneyDave GrohlKeshaGuns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum.

Their take on the Bowie classic was recorded at Hansa Studios in Berlin which is where Bowie recorded the original in 1977.

The new video arrives just a couple weeks before they release their upcoming album, Rise, on June 21. In it, the band can be seen in the studio between clips of them on the road and on stage. You can check it out in the player below.

Their debut self-titled record was released back in 2015 and featured original songs alongside classic rock covers.

They also covered Led Zeppelin with Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale of at Rock In Rio 2015, as well as a Motörhead cover at the 2016 Grammy awards in honor of Lemmy, the band’s late frontman and bassist.

Earlier this year, they also announced a short run of tour dates with a slightly different lineup. On top of Depp, Cooper and Perry, their lineup was rounded out by Alice Cooper’s drummer Glen Sobel, the Cult’s bassist Chris Wyse and Aerosmith’s Buck Johnson on keyboard and vocals.
