Hot Topic announces 'Golden Girls' collection for April Fools
Hot Topic joined the legions of today's April Fools pranks with the announcement of a fashion collection inspired by Golden Girls.

They really went all out, sending us a hilarious press release accompanied by a promo video. Here's what they said:
“Hot Topic announced today a limited-edition vintage fashion collection inspired by Dorothy Zbornak, Rose Nylund, Blanche Devereaux, and Sophia Petrillo, AKA The Golden Girls – the best television show ever. The line is available now at all Hot Topic stores and hottopic.com, and will feature a total of four pieces – all under $100. All styles will be offered in plus sizes.
“The Golden Girls fashion collection was so much fun for our team to design,” said Cindy Levitt, Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing at Hot Topic. “The backdrop of tropical Miami mixed with caftans and Bermuda short sets were the perfect combination to bring this collection to life. Our fangirls love The Golden Girls…we think Betty White would approve!”
The four-piece collection includes:

· Striped Open Collar House Coat, $64.50
· Floral Full Length Gown, $89.50
· Sequined Aerobics Romper, $74.50
