Hulk Hogan getting Netflix biopic, Chris Hemsworth to take on legacy
Netflix is currently closing the deal on a forthcoming Hulk Hogan biopic. However, the project is also set to feature Australian heartthrob Chris Hemsworth in the leading role as the famous pro-wrestler-turned-internet-personality.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film will be directed and written by The Joker’s Todd Phillips and Scott Silver. Additionally, John Pollono (Stronger, Fight Your Way Out) will co-write the script.

Despite Hogan’s array of controversial scandals, the biopic is said to focus on Hogan’s rise in pro-wrestling. According to THR, the film won’t attempt to encompass his entire life either, and instead take on the main points leading up to the story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.
If you want specifics, PopCrave says the biopic will start with Hogan’s start on the Florida wrestling circuit and take fans all the way through his his peak in the WWF (now WWE).
While the story in and of itself is destined to be entertaining, many fans are reacting to Hemsworth’s casting of the wrestling star.

Chris Hemsworth will play Hulk Hogan in a biopic from the director of ‘The Hangover.’ That’s a lot to process, brother.
