iDKHOW share jazzy, stripped-down take on “Choke”

I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME have unveiled an acoustic version of their song, “Choke.” iDKHOW originally released the song as a single from their EP 1981 Extended Play.

Now, the duo have decided to give the song a new, fun twist. The acoustic rendition of “Choke” sounds like it comes straight out of a 1920s speakeasy. For this version, iDKHOW flawlessly incorporate classic piano and brass parts to fill the spaces between Dallon Weekes‘ jazzy vocals.

Additionally, the band say the reimagining came when they started doing radio promo tours.

“We started playing acoustically on some radio promo tours we’ve been doing for ‘Choke,’ and it was a lot of fun doing it this way,” Dallon Weekes says in a story with Billboard. “When we were home we started to make tracks for an acoustic version of the song, and it turned into this. It’s just a way of having some fun with it.”
