Halsey, 5SOS among iHeartRadio Music Awards winners

The iHeartRadio Music Awards took place Thursday night and some of our favorites took home some pretty major awards.

Artists such as Post Malone, Panic! At The Disco, twenty one pilots, Halsey and more were up for some of the biggest awards of the night.

We also knew ahead of the ceremony that Halsey would be honored with the L’Oreal FanGirls Award during the night. She gave an extremely emotional speech.

“I think that the word ‘fan girl’ for a long time has been used in a very derogatory sense,” she says. “I think if a young woman likes something, then in the eyes of the rest of the world that makes it stupid or it makes it unimportant or invalid.”

“But as a former fan girl and as a person who is lucky enough to have fans of their own, I know that it is very much the opposite actually,” she continued. You can listen to her entire speech below.

5 Seconds Of Summer also won Best Group/Duo at the show, you can check out their speeches below.

It’s already been previously announced that PATD took home the award for Alternative Rock Album of the Year and TOP won Rock Album of the Year.
