Incubus reveal new album details, single and tour with Jimmy Eat World—listen

Today, Incubus have announced new details regarding their upcoming album as well as a new single. Check it out below.

The appropriately titled 8 will be the southern California group's eighth studio LP, and first since 2011's If Not Now, When?

Along with the title reveal, Incubus also premiered their first single, “Nimble Bastard,” today on KROQ. You can watch guitarist and drummer Mike Einziger and Jose Pasillas premiere the song on The Kevin & Bean Show below, and listen to them talk details regarding 8.

The forthcoming record, which was produced by Dave Sardy, is set to be released on April 21 thorugh Island Records.

And if that wasn't enough cool news out of the Incubus camp, the band also formally announced their summer headlining tour with Jimmy Eat World and Judah And The Lion. Tickets for these shows are on sale here, and a full list of dates can be viewed below. The tour spans the vast majority of the U.S. and will take place during the months of July and August.

Regarding the new single, Einzinger said, “Brandon [Boyd] wrote the lyrics and it’s kind of a narrative about someone who overcomes the harshest of circumstances and always ends up landing on their feet. It’s a really fun and energetic song.”
