Incubus' forthcoming album includes a collaboration with Skrillex

It looks like an Incubus and Skrillex collaboration is happening. Lisa Worden, music director at KROQ, has heard seven tracks from the band’s upcoming album, and in a discussion with Radio.com did confirm that there is a track collaboration with Skrillex to look forward to.

“Sonny [Moore, Skrillex] did have a hand in a song,” confirms Worden. “I may or may not have heard something… OK, it’s fricking fantastic!”

Of course, this shouldn’t come as a total surprise. Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger uploaded this photo with Skrillex last month:

Plus, Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger joined Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber for their performance of the Grammy-winning “Where Are U Now” last year at the Grammy Awards.

Einziger has confirmed that new Incubus music—and the bands eighth full-length—would be coming soon:

Worden commented further on what she’d already heard of the forthcoming album, saying, “The first single, called ‘Nimble Bastard,’—which we’ll be world premiering February 16 on The Kevin & Bean Show—is a rocker,” telling Radio.com that it’s “going back to their roots.”

It's been more than five years since Incubus released their seventh studio album If Not Now, When? Though no specific details have been released, there have even already been hints of a tour:
