That's right, as covered by Bustle, you can now add photos and videos that are more than 24 hours old on Instagram Stories. Previously, the photo-sharing app just let you skim the surface of your camera roll, keeping your Story's grasp within a day's span. I mean, sure, you could take a screenshot of an old pic or something and then share it to your Story… but what fun is that?

How to do it? Thankfully, there's isn't a whole lot of guesswork involved with this new capacity. Of course, make sure you've got the Instagram app updated to the latest version, and when you swipe up from the Story screen to add a photo, you should notice the difference! Your complete camera roll is now right there, which means you can leverage some deep nostalgia for those awesome Instagram Stories that everyone loves. (The only limit is your imagination!)

Instagram just rolled out the update on Tuesday, Nov. 7, so you should be good to go for sharing some serious memories to your Story. “Starting today, you can add photos and videos to your story, even if you took them more than 24 hours ago,” Insta's press page notes. “Now, you'll be able to easily find and choose anything from your camera roll and share it instantly with friends.”

No longer is your Instagram Story confined to just instantanous pics or videos, or at its former best, a snap from within the previous 24 hours. Get diggin' through your camera roll and get those Instagram Stories cracking!
