Instagram Stories have a cool new "Type Mode"—here's how it works

Instagram Stories are upping their game yet again, introducing a new “Type” mode that will let you say what's on your mind in the most colorful and expressive way possible.

Not only does it let you add new fonts to your fave photos and videos, but there's more. When you open the camera to create a Story, you'll see “Type” next to “Normal” by the record button. If you click “Type,” you can see the colorful background options. (Kind of like what you can do as a status on Facebook!)

So now you can type your favorite lyrics, quotes or more and play with different background colors and fonts to make it come to life.

You can also use the new font styles when adding text to any photo or video. It's pretty amazing.
