Iron Maiden's original lineup reunited for the first time in four decades
The holiday season is notorious for bringing people who haven’t seen each other in a long time together, and those holiday-led reunions seem to keep happening.
Iron Maiden is the most recent group to join in on this list, and according to a new report from Metal Sucks, it looks as though the band’s original lineup got together over the weekend.

The mini-reunion happened on Saturday, Dec. 30, where 4/5th’s of the band’s original lineup got together to talk about old times.
While it’s not crazy for friends to get together to talk about the good ol’ days, this meeting marked the first time since 1976 that the original members of the group got together.
That’s right, the members of the band haven’t seen each other in nearly four decades (!)
The meeting consisted of the band’s bassist Steve Harris, who is the only person of the original lineup to continue his work with the band, frontman Paul Day, and both guitarists Dave Sullivan and Terry Rance.
The only person missing from the band’s mini-reunion was drummer Ron ‘Rebel’ Matthews.
The meeting was posted by the band’s former frontman Paul Day, who shared a picture of the original four members, with the caption of:
“The gang almost all together since 1976, or there abouts. I cannot begin to tell you how good it feels. Tonight will be burned in my memory for life. I may say more later after I process this evening.”
