Heavy metal illustrator collaborates with Zayn Malik on merch

Talk about two very different worlds colliding: for a graphic T-shirt in his merch line, ZAYN (Zayn Malik, formerly of One Direction) teamed up with artist Mark Wilkinson, who has worked with heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Fish, according to Dazed.

“Working with Mark gave me a license to do something exciting conceptually with a lot of colour and detail,” Malik tells Vogue. The graphic T-shirt happens to be his favorite shirt in the 23 piece collection. “The art we created gives a nod to the vintage rock-band T-shirts but with my own concept.”
Malik has created an entire merch line to accompany his debut solo album Mind Of Mine that released this past March.
