Is Dave Grohl a secret member of this mysterious metal band?

Let’s talk about Ghost. First off, they’re a Swedish metal band that formed in 2008. Nothing our of the ordinary there, right? Sweden has a fairly rich history of metal. And while the band’s music can be considered straightforward when it comes to the heavier realm of music, it is their appearance that seems to snatch people’s attention. Lead by a satanic priest who operates under the moniker Papa Emeritus, the remainder of Ghost are simply labeled Nameless Ghouls. Each member has remained anonymous for the sake of letting their art take centerstage.

[MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY]We wish to inform you that last week PAPA Emeritus III was revealed, alongside the new track “From The Pinnacle To The Pit.” For those who missed it…Watch / listen here: http://found.ee/FromThePinnacleToThePithttp://found.ee/PapaEmeritusIII

This anonymity allows the concept of interchangeable members to come forth. In a recent interview with one of the band’s Nameless Ghouls, Rolling Stone asked about a rumor that Dave Grohl had performed—clad in full Nameless Ghoul attire—with the band before. The unidentified Ghoul offered the following as a response:

Well, we can’t really know, can we? I can tell you this much: He has played Ghost material in a ghoul suit. And he might or might have not have [performed onstage], and he might or might not in the future. How’s that for a commercial cliffhanger?

Well, there you have it. There’s a chance Dave Grohl might be a secret member of a satanic metal band from Sweden.
