Issues on Scout Accord: "He was supposed to be the Tom Denney to our A Day To Remember"

In the latest edition of AP, Tyler Carter discusses all things Issues, including former official keyboardist/programmer Ty “Scout” Acord. “He doesn’t want to be known as a live DJ in a rock band—that’s not what he wants to do,” Carter explains. “He’s happy doing what he’s doing and he still helps us write music and produce. From the beginning, he was supposed to be the Tom Denney to our A Day To Remember. He was supposed to be our Timbaland to Justin Timberlake.”

He doesn’t want to be known as a live DJ in a rock band—that’s not what he wants to do, He’s happy doing what he’s doing and he still helps us write music and produce. From the beginning, he was supposed to be the Tom Denney to our A Day To Remember. He was supposed to be our Timbaland to Justin Timberlake. We were supposed to have Issues the entity and Scout the producer, and it was supposed to go hand-in-hand. I just kind of manipulated and begged him to tour with us because it would be cool. So he did for a while. It’s back to the way it was meant to be from the beginning.”
