Based off of Joe Hill’s comic book series, Locke & Key is a combination of horror and fantasy revolving around three siblings who move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts after the murder of their father. They soon find that the house has magical keys that give them various powers and abilities. Of course, there’s also a demon who wants the keys and will stop at nothing to attain them.

IT director Andy Muschietti directed the show’s pilot, but Hulu decided against picking up the series.

Netflix came to the rescue, picking up the show and ordering ten episodes… with a catch.

The streaming service stated they would not be picking up the original pilot, instead choosing to start fresh.

Today we’re given a little bit of insight to the show’s casting choices which happens to include IT actor Jackson Robert Scott.

Scott, who played Georgie in the iconic horror film will find himself in the role of Bode Locke. Starring alongside him are Connor Jessup (American Crime) and Emilia Jones (Utopia) as Tyler and Kinsey Locke.

While Scott did play Bode in the original pilot, the other two Locke siblings have been recast for the Netflix adaptation.

Muschietti will not be available to direct the Netflix series seeing as he’s currently working on the IT sequel. He will however, serve as an executive producer for the show.

You can watch Scott in his role of Georgie from the 2017 IT film below.

Whitney is your definition of pop punk trash. If she's not jamming to State Champs or Grayscale, then she's probably out enjoying the finer things or working a show for Fearless Records as a Street Team Leader. She's a realist and an optimist, calling the city of Columbus her home. A huge fan of naps, Whitney often falls asleep in a city that doesn't. She's not hard to please, finding joy in discovering new bands or playing Everlong on the late night radio. Working at Alt Press and breaking ground in the music scene have always been a dream of hers, telling herself at an early age she was down for losing it all to make that happen! Now the weekend writer at AP, Whitney is prepared to be noticed and eager to contribute to the scene. If you catch her at a concert feel free to stick around, make small talk, or discuss her overuse of State Champs lyrics and song titles in her bio.
