The kids of 'IT: Chapter Two' finish production, share new cast photo

Grab your red balloons, because the time to float is drawing near.

As if we weren’t already excited about our trip to Derry coming soon, the kids of the Loser’s Club just shared an on-set photo, where they also revealed they’ve finished wrapping production.

Finn Wolfhard, who you might know as Richie Tozier in the Stephen King adaptation of IT (and Mike from Netflix’s Stranger Things) revealed the news earlier today by posting a group shot of the losers posing.

“We wrapped,” Wolfhard captioned the photo, with a signature red balloon emoji soon following. “Come see what we helped do in September.”

We’re beyond excited to know we’re one step closer to seeing the kids (and adults) return to Derry, Maine, and it appears that these production snippets are going to become a thing the closer we are to the film’s theatrical debut.

Yesterday, Oct. 31, we reported that New Line decided to share a minimalist teaser poster for the upcoming movie in celebration of Halloween.

While the poster didn’t give much away, it was, however, a warning that our favorite dancing clown will be coming.

IT: Chapter Two, what we know so far:

It: Chapter Two, set to be directed by Andy Muschietti, will see the adult version of the Losers’ Club return to Derry, Maine, 27 years later to face Pennywise once again.

Jessica Chastain is set to play Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy will play Bill Denbrough, Bill Hader will take on the role of Richie Tozier, James Ransone will be Eddie Kaspbrak, Jay Ryan will play Ben Hanscom and Andy Bean will play Stan Uris and Isaiah Mustafa will play Mike Hanlon.

In addition to the new and old versions of the club appearing in the film, we also know that Bill Skarsgård will be coming back to eat the children, uhm, adults, of the Loser’s Club.

It: Chapter 2, based on the Stephen King novel, will be in theaters Sept. 6, 2019!

It was recently reported that Chapter Two will see the adults of the Loser’s Club tackling the strange ritual that involves the group biting each other’s tongues and laughing. Writer Gary Dauberman spilled the beans to CinemaBlend, saying:

“The Ritual of Chüd is challenging,” he says, “but it’s such an important component to the book that we had to address it.” Dauberman credits the creative bond between production members in overcoming the “difficult to balance” passage.
