'It Chapter Two' has a surprise cameo Stephen King fans will freak over
While we found out IT Chapter Two almost had a cameo from legendary horror director Guillermo Del Toro, it did feature an incredible cameo from another legend of horror.
The author of the original IT novel, Stephen King, makes a small appearance in the film.

Fair warning to our readers, minor spoilers are ahead so if you haven’t seen the film read on at your own risk!
Partway through the flick, the adult Losers Club explore their hometown of Derry on their own. This leads Bill (James McAvoy) to an antique shop where he is reunited with his trusty old friend, his bicycle “Silver.”
Bill feels compelled to buy the bike back, but he haggles with the owner of the shop about the price. The owner of the shop though is none other than King himself!
The scene is a bit tongue-in-cheek about King’s career as a writer, with him being aware of who Bill is since becoming a famous author. King even has a copy of one of Bill’s books on his store counter which the fictional character offers to sign.
King declines the offer, simply telling him that he didn’t want it signed because he didn’t like the ending.

While King didn’t like the ending to the fake book, some critics in real life haven’t been enjoying the ending to the film series.
Some critics who have already seen the movie are officially allowed to tweet about it and boy have they. There were quite a lot of mixed reactions, with some people loving the film while others were calling it a “disappointment”. See what they had to say below.
It: Chapter Two is the biggest disappointment of the year. A dull & bloated mess that spends too much time rehashing things from the first film. While there are a few good moments, the film ultimately lacks suspense and scares. The performances are also a mixed bag. #ITChapterTwo pic.twitter.com/3NlauZxj2f

#ITChapter2 has a rushed, clumsy first act & an odd lack of chemistry among the adult Losers. But it eventually finds its footing. This is a BIG movie—a go for broke horror blockbuster not afraid to make weird choices. Bill Hader steals the show. #ITMovie #ITChapterTwo pic.twitter.com/cib2slRfoq

It’s also very much a “part 2”, as in it doesn’t stand on its own at all. In fact, the ideal way to view this would be back to back with the first film.

Several issues aside, this is one of the rare Stephen King adaptations that actually understands King’s voice and successfully translates it to the screen. It captures that unapologetic earnestness mixed with a kind of aw-shucks corniness that King does so well.

Is it scary? Not really. In fact, it seems more content to go for humor rather than horror. But there are a handful of genuinely nasty moments that you don’t usually get in big studio horror flicks.
