It looks like Hayley Williams almost played for Bayley at WrestleMania 36

For those that don’t know, WWE wrestler Bayley is a massive fan of Paramore and Hayley Williams‘ solo music.

As it turns out, Bayley is such a big fan that Williams herself almost played during the wrestler’s entrance at WrestleMania 36. Even though the event was canceled amid the pandemic, there’s still hope for the duo to team up for 2021’s WrestleMania 37.

Bayley has truly shown her love for Paramore over the years. Back in 2017, she posted some photos of her meeting Williams after Paramore’s After Laughter concert at Radio City Music Hall.

“Guys. Look what happened. Thank you to everyone who went out of their way for me last night – you know who you are. Watching @paramore perform at Radio City Music Hall and meeting @yelyahwilliams afterwards was something my heart will always hold onto.”

Then, back in February 2020, we learned that Bayley was considering using a Paramore song as her WrestleMania entrance music. She was even down for the trio to perform live at the event.

“Man I would love that! But I don’t think we could get that. I’d love for Paramore to perform for us, but I’ve tried for that in the past. I don’t think we can do that,” she told Sport Bible.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, however, WrestleMania 36 was unable to take place this year. Bayley recently told the Table Talk Podcast that she was in talks with Williams to have her perform during her event entrance.

“To be honest, I have mentioned it to the WWE music producer and we talked about it for last year but this was like in the beginning — or no, I guess it would’ve been this year. The beginning of this year,” Bayley says. “So before the pandemic, before we knew that WrestleMania was gonna be in front of nobody and we were actually trying to figure out how to get that going and how to make it work. Like we were having phone calls about it, and then all this happened and we couldn’t do it.”

Despite the fact that the plans didn’t work out, Bayley is still hopeful she can team up with Williams in the future.

“So, we’ll see,” she says. “I’m never gonna stop trying because that’s a dream moment for me and a dream WrestleMania moment for me so Hayley Williams, let’s do it, come on.”

Following the scheduling changes to WrestleMania 36 earlier this year, Bayley actually asked Williams if she could use one of her Petals For Armor songs as her WrestleMania 37 entrance in 2021.

During an August livestream, Williams read a comment about Bayley wanting to use “Simmer” for her entrance at next year’s event. Williams eagerly agreed and gave permission to the wrestling champion.

“You have our permission,” she said. “That’s sick, holy shit.”

Bayley eventually shared the video of Williams and her Petals For Armor collaborator Joey Howard on her Instagram page.

So although Williams and Bayley were unable to team up for this year’s WrestleMania, it looks like something could happen for WrestleMania 37. The 2021 event is set to happen on Mar. 28 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Flordia.
